Big “I” to Host FREE Webcast Series: “First Monday LIVE!”

Insurance media, agency staff, personal lines underwriters and adjusters, and insurance regulators encouraged to attend.

VU logo.gifALEXANDRIA, Virginia, Jan. 26, 2016 —The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America’s Virtual University (VU) will kick off 2016 by hosting a free webinar series titled, “First Monday LIVE.” The series premiers on Monday, Feb. 1, at 2:00 p.m. ET and will air every first Monday of the month, except July 4.

Structured like a talk radio program, hosts Bill Wilson and Marty Agathar will discuss what’s going on in the news and their related insurance implications. Future topics include: drones, car sharing, concealed weapon laws, legalized marijuana and legislative issues, among others. In addition, most of the episodes plan to feature an interview with a special guest. Each webcast will also include a Q&A session. 

The Feb. 1 broadcast will cover:
What the First Monday LIVE! webcast is all about—and what to expect in the future
How Central Insurance Companies are leading the way in protecting homeowners
The insurance implications if hacking, terrorism or solar flares disrupt the U.S. power grid
Price optimization or price gouging?
The next big thing—is it Google Compare, Google Nest, “Lemonade?”
