 Content is King with the Sales Lion

 Content is king and Marcus Sheridan, the Sales Lion, is king of inbound marketing. In his keynote session Sheridan will provide three key take-a-ways for attendees. What’s the buzz about content marketing? How can you use what you know (insurance) to build brand awareness and increase web traffic, leads and clients? Finally, find out why this strategy is so important to growing your business and how you can become a trust agent.
Attendees of this session will not be hearing theory. You will discover a philosophy and strategy you can implement in your business the following week. And what’s more? You’ll know how to do it.

About the presenter: Marcus Sheridan entered into the marketing world by way of his swimming pool company. The company is now one of the largest of its’ kind in the world, but it wasn’t an easy journey. Fortunately, what Sheridan learned along the way has led him to where he is now—The Sales Lion a.k.a. awesome marketer.  He was recently featured in the NY Times article, a Revolutionary Marketing Strategy: Answer Your Customers Questions.

In this workshop attendees will get into the nitty-gritty details of content marketing in insurance world. How do you make your business relevant to customers? How do you flex your knowledge, monitor media and become a trusted advisor to those in your community? Ryan Hanley, a licensed insurance agent and marketing guru will help you understand how to market your brand and your agency by teaching you how to effectively and easily communicate what you know-- insurance.

Know Your Inner Leader

What qualities are required for today’s leaders?  This session will uncover the make-up of successful leaders and the difference between leading and managing. Attendees will meet their inner leader by reviewing their Caliper professional assessment and taking part in exercises that show how their traits translate to real-life. By reflecting on their organization's strategic direction, attendees will have an opportunity to create two or three development goals to help them in their professional growth.

The Young Agents Leadership Luncheon is a two-hour forum for chairs and liaisons to share what's going on in their states. It’s time to celebrate the outstanding efforts of state Young Agents committees. Join young agents and the Big “I” leadership for the anticipated announcement of the Young Agents committee awards. The Outstanding Young Agents Committee of the Year will be recognized, as well as Outstanding Communications, Political Involvement, Membership Development, Meeting, State Committee Project, InVEST and Breakthrough winners. Any Hall of Achievement award winners will also be recognized. InVEST will announce their Dach volunteer of the year and teacher of the year awards.

Take a nice stroll down San Antonio’s famed River Walk and join the national Young Agents Committee at Howl at the Moon, a dueling piano bar. Nosh on southwest style treats and get ready to belt out your favorite tunes.
