Each year, InVEST awards scholarships to students participating in a high school or community college InVEST class and pursuing higher education with an emphasis on insurance, risk management, actuarial science or business.
To expand this opportunity and the reach of InVEST, scholarships will also be awarded to students that have chosen to go directly from the classroom to a career. The teachers feel that when college does not seem like an option, some students who hope to enter the insurance industry would benefit greatly from financial assistance for insurance courses. At the request of teachers, InVEST moved towards a scholarship distribution model similar to the Florida Association of Insurance Agent’s (FAIA.) This means students not transitioning to a 2 or 4 year college are eligible for scholarships that would assist students with licensing, IIA courses, CIC or ACSR. The InVEST Board of Directors unanimously approved this change to the scholarship program. InVEST will distribute dollars directly to the educational institution, or administrator.
We encourage agents involved in the program to rally your students to compete for a national InVEST scholarship. Raise the awareness!
