The Big “I" Diversity Council is pleased to host the Level Up Agent Summit, to take place Jan. 14-15, 2020 in New Orleans.
This inaugural business and inclusion event, which will take place in conjunction with the Big “I" Winter Board Meetings, will bring together independent agents, association leaders, carrier executives and other industry representatives from across the country. The goal? Agency growth, as well as increased innovation and sustainability through diversity and inclusion.
As many as 21 of the 25 most populated U.S. counties are already majority multicultural, according to Nielsen, a global data analytics company. Moreover, African-American, Asian-American and Hispanic groups make up nearly 40% of the U.S. population today. That translates to over $3 trillion in buying power not to be ignored.
As our neighborhoods and cities become more diverse, it is critical that the independent agency channel proactively embraces this change by collectively weaving diversity and inclusion into the fabric of our business practices.
During the event, agents will receive step-by-step guidance from global business leaders on how to build a culture of inclusion and diversity across their agency. Workshops will cover a variety of topics, such as attracting young and diverse talent, understanding the buying power of women, kickstarting an agency perpetuation plan, gaining insights from peers on agency tech innovations, developing multicultural networks, and more.
A special thank you to the Big “I" Diversity Council for their hard work and focus on engaging and developing a sustainable diverse independent agency network!
