What is the Level Up Agent Summit?

A business and inclusion summit where attendees will learn key business strategies to enhance their agency's growth, innovation and sustainability through diversity and inclusion. Featured topics include sales, agency operations, leadership, marketing, and technology.


When is the Summit?

Tuesday, January 14 through Wednesday, January 15.

Independent agents, state association leaders, carrier representatives, and other leaders in the IA channel.

When Does Online Registration Close?

Online registration closes on Friday, December 13 BUT we recommend you access special conference rates by reserving your spot ASAP.


What's Included with My Registration?

Your conference registration includes access to all Level Up General Sessions and Workshops and the Opening and Closing Receptions. It is also inclusive of breakfast and lunch on Wednesday, January 15.


What is the Cancellation & Refund Policy?

There is a $75.00 administrative charge assessed by the Big I" for each attendee's cancellation. No-shows without prior notification are not entitled to a refund. Registration cancellations and refund requests must be made in writing and submitted to  no later than Friday, December 13, 2019.


Is There a Hotel Room Block?

Yes, the official hotel room block at the New Orleans Marriot is now OPEN reserve your room here.


Is There an Event Mobile App?

Yes, download information for both Apple and Android phones will be provided to attendees closer to the date. 


Summit Sessions / Workshops

Where are the General Sessions and Workshops Being Held?

All keynote sessions and workshops will be held at the Marriott New Orleans. Click here to review general sessions and workshops.  


What Offsite Events Are Taking Place?

Tuesday, January 14:  There will be multiple Diversity Council Carrier Dinners held for Independent Agents within walking distance from the Marriott New Orleans. More details will be provided via email to Independent Agent attendees.

NOTE: There will also be a few suggested restaurants we encourage attendees to checkout for dinner on your own.

Wednesday, January 15:  There will be post-conference Dinner Meetups open to all attendees within walking distance. Sign up for a dinner meetup group will be available onsite. Participating restaurants will be shared closer to the event.

Who Will be at the Summit?

Attendees include independent agents, state association leaders, carrier representatives, and other industry leaders. 

Which Carriers Will be in Attendance?

Allstate, AmTrust North America, Chubb, Church Mutual, CNA, Encompass, The Hartford, Liberty Mutual Insurance, MetLife, Nationwide, Progressive, Safeco, Selective, Travelers, and Westfield Insurance.

Will the Attendee List be Available to View?

Yes. We will email the list to all attendees a week or more prior to the conference. The attendee list will also be available through the Level Up mobile app.

Any other Big I" Events Taking Place While There?

Yes. The Summit is in conjunction with the Big I" National Board Meetings and Best Practices Symposium.

What kind of accessibility arrangements are available?

The New Orleans Marriott is an accessible hotel. Please contact Janis Mann at if you need any special accommodations.


Will there be areas for privacy during the Summit? (e.g. lactation, prayer, quiet, etc.)

Accommodations can be made available upon request. Please contact Janis Mann at for further information as soon as possible to maximize our efforts.   


Are Scholarship Opportunities Available?

We are pleased to have event sponsors to keep the registration fee for Level Up as low as possible; however, we understand any additional help may afford more agents an opportunity to come. For this reason, we are pleased to share that there are scholarship opportunities available through some Big I" State Associations and Diversity Council Carrier Partners. The New Orleans Marriott is approximately 20 minutes away from Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport New Orleans (MSY).



Taxi to/from New Orleans International Airport to New Orleans Marriott: Approx $35. 


Rideshare Services

Both Uber and Lyft are available in the New Orleans area. It's the easiest way to get around, anywhere, anytime at an economical cost.


NOTE: Uber and Lyft rideshare service pickup are outside the Ground Transportation Center located on the first floor of the Short-Term Parking Garage by crossing the pedestrian crosswalk located outside of Baggage Claim 6.

What is the dress attire for the conference?

Business casual or business professional attire is acceptable.


What meals are included with conference registration?

Breakfast and lunch on Wednesday, January 15 is included with conference registration. In addition, food and beverages served at the opening and closing receptions are complimentary with conference registration.
