In recognition of Black History Month, the Big “I" Diversity Task Force has partnered with the National African American Insurance Association (NAAIA) to host a special webinar: Where are You in Your Identity Awareness and Why Does It Matter?
During this one-hour session, to take place Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 12-1 p.m. ET, Al Vivian, president & CEO of Basic Diversity, Inc., will guide participants to a better understanding the natural development of a person's self-identity based on the cultural group in which they belong—as well as its impact both personally and professionally.
Vivian has provided corporate training and consulting to numerous Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, professional firms, nonprofits and academic institutions. His client list includes Bank of America, CNN, Coca-Cola, Delta Air Lines, Ford Motor Co., McDonald's, the U.S. Army and many more. He regularly provides diversity insights and analysis to media outlets, including CNN, USA Today, New York Times and Chicago Sun Times.
“In order to truly maximize the effectiveness and potential of ourselves and our organizations, we must develop some solid diversity leadership competencies," Vivian says.
