| Rep. Stephanie Murphy (D-Florida) will address the Young Agents & InsurPac State Chairpersons Legislative Luncheon on Wednesday, May 8 during the annual Big “I" Legislative Conference. Rep. Murphy represents Florida's 7th Congressional District, which includes downtown Orlando, Maitland, Winter Park and the University of Central Florida. She currently serves on the influential House Ways and Means Committee, where she is a member of the Subcommittee on Trade and the Subcommittee on Worker and Family Support.
“The Big 'I' is honored that Rep. Murphy, co-chair of the moderate Blue Dog caucus and a true rising star in politics, will be addressing our young agents and InsurPac leaders as they prepare to meet with their congressional delegations," says Charles E. Symington, Jr., Big “I" senior vice president for external, industry and government affairs. “We look forward to hearing Rep. Murphy's thoughts on the need for continued grassroots advocacy during this time of divided government in the nation's capital." First elected to Congress in 2017, Rep. Murphy has emerged as a leading moderate Democratic voice on the need for bipartisanship to address issues like drug costs and infrastructure. Online registration is open through next Friday, April 19 for this year's Legislative Conference, to take place May 8-10 in Washington, D.C. Wednesday's event will also feature the presentation of the annual InsurPac National Championship awards, InsurPac Young Agent of the Year and Eagle awards.
