| Tonight, in conjunction with the 2019 Big “I" Legislative Conference, InVEST® and the national Young Agents Committee (YAC) will host YAC Gives Back: Battle of the Bags—a cornhole tournament to support the InVEST student scholarship fund. Bring your backyard game to the Grand Ballroom in the Renaissance Washington, DC Downtown Hotel at 9-11:30 p.m. to help raise funds for students who are interested in pursuing insurance-related careers. Prizes of $1,000, $500, $200 and $100 will be awarded to the first-, second-, third- and fourth-place teams, respectively. The YAC will also award prizes for best team name, best cheerleaders, best dressed and a few other surprises as we see fit! Over the last 10 years, InVEST, a one-of-a-kind financial literacy program that educates high school and college students about insurance, risk management and financial services, has provided approximately $500,000 in scholarships to high-school seniors and college students to help them pursue insurance-related education or careers. 100% of InVEST scholarship funds benefit these students.
