Lacrosse fans around the country should now be very familiar with the Trusted Choice® brand and independent agents.
As the presenting sponsor of the 2014 World Lacrosse Championships earlier this month, hosted in Commerce City, Colo. by the Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL), Trusted Choice made an impression with thousands of sports fans both on site and watching from home. The independent agent brand was highly visible at the stadium location and vendor village; on the game fields through large sponsor signs on the sidelines and the jumbotron; and through clever giveaways including branded fans, sun glasses and lip balm.
ESPN programming and other media coverage of the games also mentioned and displayed Trusted Choice branding hundreds of times. The Trusted Choice player of the game, covered extensively on ESPN, and the Trusted Choice fan of the game also increased recognition opportunities. National and international fans alike were able to catch the games on ESPN 2, ESPN U and online.
In all, the event provided not only excellent national and international exposure for the Trusted Choice brand, but also increased consumer traffic at the local level as well. Local agents who volunteered at Trusted Choice’s vendor tent, Freedom Lounge, secured a number of leads. With commercial insurance needs ranging from refurbishing ambulances to operating wrestling clubs, a range of business owners personally inquired about quotes with independent agents in attendance.
Lacrosse is the fastest growing team sport in the United States and has spread to every corner of the country. The demographics of the lacrosse community tend to parallel the Trusted Choice target audience in most markets.
