The Big “I" Diversity Council is pleased to work with leading organizations on fresh initiatives helping racial and ethnic minorities, young professionals, LGBTQ members and women.
Together, we are proactively striving to ensure our underrepresented agents are not just invited to the independent agent party but—as Netflix executive and renowned speaker Verna Myers describes it—are also being asked to dance.
This month marks the largest diversity & inclusion global insurance event: Dive In. Don't miss these other upcoming initiatives:
1) Developing agency owners. Are you a small agency owner that is under the age of 42 or identifies as a person of color, LGBTQ or a woman? The Big “I" Diversity Council is launching its third Right Start Agency Owner Mentorship initiative next month.
Throughout the duration of the six-month program, you will be connected with two mentors: a carrier executive and a seasoned agency owner. Both will work with you on better positioning your agency for further success.
2) Empowering women. As the saying goes, “Empowered women empower women." The Big “I" Diversity Council is pleased to partner with SynerDynamics to provide 10 Big “I" women agency leaders with discounted registration to participate in a 8-month MyNetwork Masterminds Women's Mentoring Group.
Each monthly session provides peer-to-peer insights with other women in leading agency roles. The goal? To provide the ultimate mentorship experience that encourages, empowers and enhances each other, especially during the coronavirus pandemic.
3) Encouraging young agents. How are the young professionals in your agency really doing right now? Whether they are recent grads or have been working at your agency for multiple years now, they need your support. The work/life balance that so many young professionals have been thought to be the subject matter experts on is now considerably blurred.
