| The Big “I” national young agents committee (YAC) presented the inaugural Outstanding Young Agent of the Year award at the recent Big “I” Young Agents Leadership Institute to Kelli Dean of Physicians Insurance Services in Athens, Georgia.
Dean served as 2013-2014 chair of the Independent Insurance Agents of Georgia YAC and currently serves as a director-at-large on the state board.
“We are honored to recognize Kelli for her dedication,” says Quincy Branch, Big “I” national YAC chair and president & CEO of Branch Benefits Consultants. “Her passion for the independent agency system is evident through her work with the Georgia Young Agents.”
The new award recognizes an outstanding young agent who goes above and beyond to provide exemplary service to his or her association, community and the industry. Nominations poured in for Dean from peers, her state and her committee colleagues applauding her leadership, passion, honor and commitment. Under her helm, the Georgia YAC encouraged monthly reoccurring InsurPac contributions from the young agents and championed InVEST®. The annual golf tournament raised $30,250 for Kids Chance, a charity for children that provides education scholarships to children of Georgia workers who have been injured in work-related accidents. Additionally, the Georgia YAC took away the highest committee honor: the Outstanding Young Agents Committee of the Year award.
“Kelli worked tirelessly both with the YAC and the IIAG in her position on our board,” says Betsy Olson, IIAG immediate past chair and executive vice president at Rhodes Risk Advisors. “She is organized, diplomatic and an excellent motivator.” |
