The Hill, a leading political newspaper, has once again named Bob Rusbuldt, Big “I” president & CEO, one of the top trade association lobbyists in Washington, D.C.
Bob and the Big “I” government affairs team have been recognized for several years as one of the top lobbying operations in the country. Bob also continues to earn accolades and to be recognized as one of the top association CEOs.
The Big “I” was one of only three property-casualty insurance associations named this year and was the only insurance agent/broker group on the list.
“Our Big ‘I’ government affairs team, under the leadership of Charles Symington, is second to none on Capitol Hill,” Rusbuldt says. “Their commitment to the independent agents and brokers they serve continues to have an impact in our nation’s capital. This award recognizes their hard work and dedication.”
Several former members of Congress who are now CEOs at trade associations made the list, including Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Connecticut), Sen. Gordon Smith (R-Oregon), Rep. Richard Baker (R-Louisiana), Rep. Ken Bentsen (D-Texas), Rep. Cal Dooley (D-California) and Rep. Jim Nussle (R-Iowa). Former Governors Frank Keating (R-Oklahoma) and Tim Pawlenty (R-Minnesota) also made the list.
