that Joi Jackson, assistant vice president technical operations training lead at HDI Global USA, has been appointed to the Invest board to bring more insurance education and promote career opportunities to young people.
This board appointment marks a new partnership with HDI Global USA, a commercial property and casualty insurer headquartered in Chicago, IL, and a wholly owned subsidiary of leading international industrial lines insurer, HDI Global SE (HDI).
Having joined HDI Global USA in 2017 in underwriting, Jackson has over 35 years in the insurance industry and brings extensive knowledge to the Invest team.

Jackson has a Master of Business Administration in leadership from Aurora University in Aurora, Illinois; a Master of Arts in Training and Development from Roosevelt University in Chicago; and a bachelor's degree in professional studies with a concentration in risk management and insurance from Roosevelt University. She is currently attending Indiana Institute of Technology to earn her Ph.D. in Global Research and Higher Education. Jackson also has five professional insurance designations—CPCU, CIC, AU, CISR and AINS—and is working currently on a sixth, AU in Management.
In addition to her role at HDI Global USA, Jackson teaches adjunct classes in intermediate property and liability insurance. She also served with the National African American Insurance Association (NAAIA) for two years as its education chair. NAAIA is a longtime partner of the Big “I" and Invest. Jackson has also developed Invest summer insurance boot camps outside of Chicago, during which she has taught high school students insurance basics. This summer she will again develop insurance summer classes for students at HDI Global USA.
