This week, the Insurance Marketing and Communications Association (IMCA) announced the winners of the Annual IMCA Showcase Awards during the Ignite conference in Orlando, Florida.
Entries were awarded gold, bronze or silver, depending on the total number of points given by the judges, which include advertising, marketing, public relations and corporate communications executives from across North America.
Independent Agent magazine was recognized with a Gold Showcase award in the “Magazines (printed or digital)" category for its October 2023 "AI Issue." Meanwhile, the Trusted Choice® Hard Market Toolkit won a Gold award in the “Most Outside-the-Box Idea" Category and Agency Nation Radio received a Bronze Showcase award in the “Podcast Campaign (three or more podcast episodes)" category for the “Young Agents Take on the Hard Market" series.
The Ignite conference is also an opportunity to recognize individuals who have made an impact on insurance marketing and communications. Beth Montgomery, Big “I" vice president of company relations, is this year's recipient of the annual IMCA Icon award. The award recognizes a marketer or communicator who has demonstrated extraordinary leadership and exemplary achievement in the insurance industry.
Montgomery has been at the Big “I" for over 27 years and has raised tens of millions of dollars for the Big “I" to support the independent insurance agency channel. She is also an IMCA member through the Big “I" and has held a board position.
To be considered for the award, an individual's achievements must serve as an inspiring example of how effective marketing and communications can contribute to the advancement of an organization's business objectives while setting a higher standard for outstanding work.
