| Looking for a new, fast, fun and free way to stay on top of what’s going on in the wide world of insurance? It’s now possible with the Big “I” Virtual University’s (VU) new monthly 30-minute webcast First Monday LIVE!
Structured like a talk radio program, this webcast discusses what’s going on in the news and teaches listeners about the related insurance implications. Potential topics include drones, car sharing, concealed weapon laws, legalized marijuana and legislative issues, among others. Each webcast will also include a Q&A session with listeners.
The inaugural broadcast will take place on Feb. 1 at 2 p.m. ET. After that, the webcast—hosted by VU Director Bill Wilson with special guest co-hosts— will air every first Monday of the month, except July 4.
The main theme of each webcast will be “insurance in the headlines”—topics that are not necessarily about insurance per se, but rather events or issues in the news that might carry insurance and risk management implications.
Don’t miss the Feb. 1 broadcast, which will cover:
- What the First Monday LIVE! webcast is all about—and what to expect in the future.
- How Central Insurance Companies are leading the way in protecting homeowners.
- The insurance implications if hacking, terrorism or solar flares disrupt the U.S. power grid
- Price optimization or price gouging.
- The next big thing—is it Google Compare, Google Nest, “Lemonade”?
Registration is open for the first three sessions and is limited to 1,000 applicants, so act now before they sell out.
If you see an article or topic of interest, we would love to hear from you. Send your ideas or questions to First Monday LIVE! staff. |
