Barbara Walker, vice president of Hartland Insurance Agency, Inc. in Hartland, Michigan, has joined the InVEST® national board as an agent member.
Walker has more than 35 years of experience in the independent agency system and has been active in the Big "I" at both the state and national levels.
"Barbara brings decades of experience and association leadership to the InVEST board of directors," says says Cindy Hower, InVEST board chair and president of Kellerman Insurance, an independent agency in Holton, Kansas. "We look forward to continuing to work with her to improve the program."
Walker joined Hartland Insurance in July 1981 and is now responsible for management and sales. She currently serves on the Michigan Association of Insurance Agents (MAIA) board of directors and chairs the Michigan Future board. In recognition of her service, Walker earned two prestigious MAIA awards: the Ashom Education Award and the Henry Forsetlund Award. At the national level, Walker also served on the Big "I" Virtual University Committee.
