Cybersecurity is on everyone's minds—protecting our customers, protecting our businesses and protecting ourselves. The Agents Council for Technology (ACT) recently jumped at the opportunity to partner with the Center for Internet Security (CIS), a program from the Department of Homeland Security, to refine a set of free cyber resources for the independent agent distribution channel.
ACT and the CIS will release this five-part "Cyber Hygiene" toolset later this month. The tools are downloadable resources to help businesses count, configure, control and patch all hardware and software. Each tool provides clear instructions for understanding the background and processes involved in each step, as well as thorough inventory and planning.
ACT will provide an overview of the toolset in a free webinar on Tuesday, Oct. 25, and the CIS will present on the tools at the Nov. 1 ACT meeting in Boca Raton, Florida.
ACT will communicate additional information in the coming weeks via press releases, the ACT News e-newsletter and all ACT and Big "I" distributions. Look for these valuable resources soon!
