What’s Going On at the ACT Meeting?

This year's Agents Council for Technology Meeting is currently in full swing in Nashville, Tennessee, and we couldn't have asked for a better turnout. There's a record number of attendees from 32 states and even Canada.

Here's an overview of yesterday's kickoff events:

  • Agents, carriers and vendors shared how they've used ACT as a resource to improve their businesses.
  • Marc Saulsbury from Hartford Steam Boiler presented about leveraging startup companies in the Internet of Things space to drive the company's future technology strategy.
  • Marty Agather of TrustedChoice.com shared a detailed analysis on the customer experience, based on statistics and insight about technology services.
  • ID Federation provided an update on the progress of the SignOn Once initiative, which  strives for using only one ID and password between agency and carrier systems.

The meeting continues today with individual breakout sessions on security issues, customer experience, strategic future issues and small commercial rating. Later, Snejina Zacharia, CEO of Insurify, will wrap up with her thoughts on leading an InsurTech startup and the opportunities she sees through partnerships with the independent agent channel.
