ALEXANDRIA, Va., October 15 - Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company is the newest partner in the Big “I” Affluent Package Program that is accessible through Big “I” Markets, the premier online market-access program developed by the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA) for its members.
Fireman’s Fund brings its Prestige® products to the Big “I” Affluent Package Program. This program offers affluent homeowners insurance and related coverages of automobiles, fine art schedules, umbrella liability, secondary homes and boats. The Big “I” Affluent Package Program is available through Big “I” Markets to IIABA members in 37 states. The Fireman’s Fund Prestige products will be available in most of those states.
“This new, dynamic partnership of Fireman’s Fund and Big ‘I’ Markets is a win-win-win for our agents and brokers, our national and state associations, and our company partners,” says Paul A. Buse, CPCU, ARM, president of IIABA’s products and services arm—Big “I” Advantage. “The Affluent Package Program is one of the most requested and popular products available through Big ‘I’ Markets. Our in-house expertise together with the strong support of remarkable company partners like Fireman’s Fund enables us to help Big ‘I’ members find a home for risks that they otherwise would not have a market for because of company volume requirements.”
The Fireman’s Fund Prestige program can include coverage for homeowners, valuable possessions and personal catastrophe. Additional affluent-focused products cover auto, watercraft and private event coverage to deliver the “total account” approach. The program is specifically designed for:
Homes of $500,000 of value or more
Jewelry schedules of $50,000 in value or more
Upscale vehicles with a symbol 14 or greater
Watercraft, including yachts
“Fireman’s Fund is proud to join IIABA in this program,” says Scott Garfield, Fireman’s Fund vice president of sales and marketing for personal insurance. “This partnership truly addresses the needs of today’s affluent homeowners as the Prestige product line provides a choice of coverage levels without compromising essential protection.”
Fireman’s Fund joins, among other companies participating in Big “I” Markets, The St. Paul, The Hartford, Selective Insurance, MIMS International, Virginia Surety, Gales Creek and Atlantic Mutual. These companies provide specialty-market access to a variety of insurance products and programs to participating IIABA members. Big “I” Markets is the IIABA member gateway to specialized insurance products and services with no access fees, volume commitments and software needed other than basic Internet access. The Big “I” Affluent Package Program has grown rapidly during the past year into a multi-million dollar program.
“Nearly 3,000 IIABA member agents and brokers nationwide are plugging into the power of Big ‘I’ Markets,” says Mike Miley, an account executive with Gibson Insurance Agency in Plymouth, Ind., and chairman of IIAA Agency Administrative Services, Inc., the association’s internal committee overseeing the program. “Partnering with such a highly regarded company as Fireman’s Fund solidifies our commitment to connect underwriting experts to IIABA members through online access to Big ‘I’ Markets.”
Big “I” Markets is exclusively available to IIABA members nationwide. Due to state licensing regulations, product filings and operational compliance, not all products are available in all states. To check product availability, review underwriting criteria, download sales tools and policy specimens, and submit an online quote request, member agents and brokers can log in to the proprietary online system at www.independentagent.com/bigimarkets. IIABA members not yet registered to participate in the program can download a Big “I” Markets Registration Kit that must be completed before business can be quoted.
Big “I” Markets makes providing a quote for clients easy and efficient. With highly rated and handpicked insurance providers, a robust product line, detailed underwriting guidelines, streamlined applications, effective sales tools and online submissions, Big “I” Markets can help agencies realize explosive revenues.
