Rigid Bits Joins Agents Council for Technology

Cybersecurity firm supports ACT’s program goals.

ALEXANDRIA, Virginia, Sept. 4, 2019—Rigid Bits is the newest company partner of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America's Agents Council for Technology (ACT).

“ACT welcomes Rigid Bits as a company partner," says Ron Berg, ACT executive director. “We look forward to working with Rigid Bits on cybersecurity issues important to agents and their customers."

Rigid Bits works closely with the independent insurance channel to help businesses and their clients understand and reduce their cybersecurity risks, meet compliance requirements, and respond to cybersecurity events. As a leading firm in the insurance space for cybersecurity consulting and resources, it is well versed in the industry and eager to support groups like ACT with educational resources, content and services designed with the needs of agencies in mind.

“We're excited to join ACT to work on the cybersecurity challenges facing independent agents and brokers," says Jeff Oden, Rigid Bits co-founder. “We look forward to bringing our firm's cybersecurity expertise to the discussion as ACT provides resources to help make agents more efficient and their data more secure."

Founded in 1896, the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (the Big “I") is the nation's oldest and largest national association of independent insurance agents and brokers, representing more than 25,000 agency locations united under the Trusted Choice brand. Trusted Choice independent agents offer consumers all types of insurance—property, casualty, life, health, employee benefit plans and retirement products—from a variety of insurance companies.

The Agents Council for Technology (ACT) was established in January 1999 by the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (the Big “I") to provide a candid, action-oriented forum to address the critical workflow and technology issues facing the independent agency system. ACT helps participants understand the perspectives of the other stakeholders in the process and provides excellent networking opportunities with the participants who are shaping the future for the industry on these issues.
