The Big “I" Diversity Task Force continues to focus on engaging and developing a sustainable diverse independent agency network by partnering with state associations, carriers and industry affinity groups. The task force kicked off 2018 hosting its very first diversity training workshop exclusively for state association executives during the Big “I" winter meeting.
The first session, presented by representatives from Chubb, focused on providing a marketing roadmap for key customer key demographics. The session examined Chubb's journey of engaging diverse markets and shared best practices on how to attract diverse customers. The second session, presented by a representative from Liberty Mutual Insurance, focused on how state associations can partner with carriers on diversity goals and initiatives. The session highlighted the work one of Liberty Mutual's employee resource groups did in strategically partnering with the National African American Insurance Association.
To date the Diversity Task Force has engaged state leaders from more than 30 Big “I" state associations in diversity and inclusion programming efforts and initiatives.
