The free webinar offers insight into how the industry is
responding to COVID-19, as well as what the future holds. With data on the real gross domestic product changes from
October 2019 to March 2020 and news on economic growth, including projections
by line of business, the webinar offers a broad macroeconomic perspective of
the industry and outlines specific issues your agency may want to think about
as you continue to navigate the business in the ever-changing environment. All previously presented Best Practices for Agency
Operations webinars are available
online. Topics include how to use and apply metrics, perpetuation,
recruiting, technology and more. Please feel free to share the webinar
availability and link through your communication channels. The annual Best Practices Study originated as an initiative
to help independent agents build the value of their most important asset, their
agencies. By studying the leading agencies and brokers in the country, the Big
"I" hoped to provide member agents with meaningful performance
benchmarks and business strategies that could be adopted or adapted for use in
improving agency performance, thus enhancing agency value. Other Best Practices updates include:
- The 2020 Best Practices Study Update is on track
to be released in September. This year, the included whitepaper will focus on
how to recover from the COVID-19 impact and lessons that can be applied from
the prior 2008-2009 market issues.
- An updated Guide to Producer Contracts document
is coming soon and will offer definitions of terms and conditions, worksheets,
sample documents and web resources to help agencies with a critical element of
hiring.
- The Council for Best Practices provides leadership and tools
for continuous quality improvement in independent agency company operations and
relationships to exceed customer expectations, enhance agency value and
strengthen agency-company market share.
