| InvestSM, the insurance industry's premier insurance education program administered by the Big “I," was pleased to award scholarships to five high school Invest program graduates. The scholarship program has been revised to provide two mandatory check-ins each year in which scholarship recipients will meet with members from the Invest Board of Directors to discuss their career development and various ways they can plug into the insurance industry now. Congratulations to the 2023 Invest scholarship recipients: - Samantha Snider, graduate of Wilson Talent Center in Michigan, was awarded $10,000, our highest scholarship.
- Dominic Casali, graduate of Wilson Talent Center, was awarded $5,000.
- Dillon Moquin, graduate of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida, was awarded $5,000.
- Li Zhiting, graduate of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, was awarded $5,000.
- Blake Bartos, graduate of William Boone High School in Florida, was awarded $5,000.
Additionally, Invest is revising its standards for schools and community workforce programs to adhere to when hosting Invest programs. The standards will allow Invest to enrich schools and community workforce programs with more sustainable insurance ecosystems that will pave the way to a better talent pipeline for Invest students and our insurance industry. It will also allow Invest to better track metrics across programs nationally. The standards will be shared with all Invest program administrators in the upcoming months for full implementation in fall 2024.
