As the calendar year closes, it is approaching IRS form 1099 filing time across the country.
It is important that your agency information is up to date and accurate in the Big "I" Markets system and that it matches what is reported on your W9 form to the IRS. This includes legal name, entity type, address, tax ID number, and contact information.
Have you moved, merged or had an acquisition? Have you had staffing or key contact changes that need to be updated? If your agency’s information has not been reviewed or updated in some time, now is a good time to encourage a “health check” to be sure it is current.
To find out what your records indicate, go to
www.bigimarkets.com. Before logging in, select “UPDATE PROFILE/EFT INFO” beneath Additional Resources on the landing page.
Read your information on the first and second pages of the registration profile. Make any changes and select Update or Next. That’s it! While you’re at it, add missing licensing information for any staff members as needed.
While you’re in check up mode, this would be a great time to register for EFT if you haven’t already done so!
