Ed Galloway is the President of Commercial Insurance Services of Virginia, Inc., a premium audit outsourcing company, which has been serving the insurance industry since 1989. Prior to co-founding CIS, Ed worked as a field auditor for Tenn-Ky Services, National Technical Services and General Information Services. Ed has a BS in Accounting from Freed-Hardeman University.
Ed holds both the Associate in Premium Auditing (APA) and Certified Insurance Premium Auditor (CIPA) certificates. Over the years, he has served as an officer for the Insurance Auditors Association of Virginia, having served in most of the offices several times. He has also served as the President of the National Society of Insurance Premium Auditors (NSIPA) both for the 1994/1995 term and for the 2010/2011 term. He served as Treasurer of NSIPA from 2011 - 2015. He is also a member of the Education Subcommittee at the Premium Audit Advisory Service.
Additionally, Ed has served on the board of several local non-profit associations, including his local recreation association, his homeowner's association, a float fisherman organization, and local and regional PTA organizations. He has also served as the treasurer of his church.
Ed enjoys the idiosyncrasies of the Workers' Compensation and General Liability manuals and is often called upon by insurance companies and agencies to help classify difficult risks.
