
Edward B. Scheinuk, CPCU serves as Area Executive Vice President of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. in New Orleans, Louisiana where he provides risk management and insurance counsel to regional, national, and international commercial accounts.
Ed is a native of New Orleans. He graduated from the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a minor in Computer Science in 1981. Subsequent to that, Ed moved to New York where he worked as an underwriter at CG/Aetna Insurance Company and attended The College of Insurance, now part of St. John's University. In 1982, he completed the requirements for and received a Professional Diploma in Risk and Insurance from the College of Insurance. Ed returned to New Orleans in 1982 and commenced work serving the requirements of commercial clients. In 1984, he was designated a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter by the American Institute of Property and Liability Underwriters.
Ed currently serves on the 'Ask an Expert' panel of Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America, Inc. He was a founder and served as a director of ConfirmNet Corporation from 1998 until its 2008 acquisition by Ebix, Inc. Ed's professional affiliations include The Society of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters and the Risk and Insurance Management Society.
