James F. Anthony Scholarship
The James F. Anthony Scholarship was created in 1995 in memory of a devoted friend to Big I New Jersey. This $1000 scholarship is bestowed annually to a deserving high school senior seeking to further his or her education at the collegiate or professional/trade school level, who has demonstrated excellence in scholastic, extra curricular, and community activities.
Applications for the 2027 scholarship will open in Q1 2027.
Eligibility
1. Must be a dependent of an employee who is currently working for an active Big I New Jersey member agency.
2. High school senior or junior seeking to further their education at the university, college, or technical school level.

Requirements
1. Completed application
2. 500-600 word essay beginning with “If I receive this scholarship, I feel it will…”
3. Letter of recommendation from a teacher.

Selection Standards
1. Grade point average

Selections will be made based on eligibility requirements, essay, and following standers as provide in the application. Financial need is not a criteria for this scholarship.
