2014 Future One Agency Universe Study: Time is Running Out

Recently, the Big “I” invited all independent insurance agencies in the U.S. to participate in the 2014 Future One Agency Universe Study. To date, nearly 1,500 agencies have completed the questionnaire, but the window will be closing soon.

We strongly urge all members to participate, if you haven’t already. The survey, which should take only about 20 minutes to complete, asks for agency information and opinions on a wide range of topics including revenues, staffing, mix of business, emerging trends in the marketplace, diversity and technology usage.

One of the survey’s top priorities is to gather the most accurate data possible about independent agency operations, enabling member agencies, the association and its company partners to benchmark operations, develop new products and services and refine their relationships with one another. We are serious about this priority—and we need your help to guide our efforts.

The Big “I” has retained Zeldis Research Associates, an independent market research firm, to conduct this year’s study to ensure the quality and confidentiality of the data. Timing is critical, so please complete the survey as soon as you receive your individualized invitation.

Remember that your responses are completely confidential, and as a token of our appreciation, we will use your password to enter your agency in our drawing for participation prizes upon your completion of the survey. The prizes total $3,500 and include a $1,000 grand prize, two $500 second prizes, four $250 third prizes and five $100 prizes.

If you have any questions or concerns pertaining to the survey, or if you want to be sure that your agency receives an invitation to participate, contact Madelyn Flannagan, vice president of agent development, research and education.
