The Big “I” Diversity Council is partnering with Hiring Our Heroes (HOH) to place military service members who are in their last three months of service in independent insurance agencies.
The insurance fellowship program will connect the military community—service members, military spouses and veterans—with independent insurance agencies to create economic opportunity and a strong and diversified workforce.
To help independent agency owners tap into this unique workforce segment, the Big “I” Diversity Council is creating a fellowship roadmap guide to help agencies create a rewarding career path and transition. HOH provides thousands of qualified applicants to choose from.

Weekly Schedule & Time Commitment.
The 12-week program is held Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fellows attend an initial week of corporate training followed by 11 weeks of on-the-job training with their selected organization. Corporate training takes place Monday through Thursday with a day of mandatory classroom instruction every Friday.

Eligibility to Apply for the Fellowship
The Corporate Fellowship Program is a DoD Skillbridge program that is open to transitioning service member candidates whose timeline aligns with the program and who meet these education and experience requirements:
- Fellows must meet education and leadership experience requirements.
- Fellows must be on active duty.
- Fellows must be within 180 days of transition from military service at the time of the 12-week program.
