“ACT is proud to welcome Citrix and the ShareFile technology to the table and applauds the company’s commitment to advancing technology so that independent insurance agents and brokers can better serve their customers,” says Ron Berg, ACT executive director. “We look forward to working with the ShareFile team on important technology issues that impact our members and the consumers they serve.”
Founded in 2005 by technology expert and entrepreneur Jesse Lipson and headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina, ShareFile provides market-leading enterprise file sync and share capabilities to more than 50,000 corporate customers. The company has 17 million users around the globe, including many in the independent agency system.
“Citrix has made a priority of designing its ShareFile features to provide ease of use as well as bank-grade security, and this partnership with ACT reflects our commitment toward these aims,” says Jesse Lipson, GM & VP of Citrix Workspace and Workflow Cloud. “We look forward to helping independent agents maintain compliance with their clients as they store, sync and share large documents and files from anywhere.”
The Agents Council for Technology (ACT) was established in January 1999 by the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America (IIABA or the Big “I”) to provide a candid, action-oriented forum to address the critical workflow and technology issues facing the independent agency system. ACT helps participants understand the perspectives of the other stakeholders in the process and provides excellent networking opportunities with the participants who are shaping the future for the industry on these issues.
