Liberty Mutual created Agent for the Future to help independent agents stay ahead of what’s next – and the Agent for the Future AI Bootcamp is where that future gets practical. This hands‑on learning experience cuts through the hype around artificial intelligence and shows agents how to put AI to work in their day-to-day.

AI isn’t a distant trend: Liberty Mutual’s 2025 Independent Agents at Work Study found that more than half of agency employees are interested in using AI for work, and over one‑third already are. AI Bootcamp is designed to meet agents at any stage of their AI journey and is especially valuable for young agents who want to invest in their future careers.

Guided sessions cover topics such as prompting best practices, customer communications use cases, and how to make your agency easier to find and trust in an AI-driven world.

Whether you’re just getting started with AI or looking to sharpen your skills, this is a welcoming place to learn, experiment, and grow. Join the more than 6,000 agents who have already participated in bootcamp to make AI a strategic advantage.

Through our work with agencies, carriers, and MGAs across the country, Vertafore sees day-to-day operational trends as well as broader shifts shaping the independent channel. That perspective allows us to surface practical benchmarks and data-backed insights agencies can use to evaluate performance, understand changing client expectations, and plan for workforce and technology investments with greater confidence.

For agents who are newer to the industry, these insights offer a view of what’s ahead and where to focus early efforts. We recently surveyed independent agents, policyholders, and MGAs to gather insights as we roll through 2026.

In our “2026 agency trends outlook” report, almost two-thirds of independent agents responded and said they are optimistic about how AI can support their work, particularly when it comes to data management, reporting, and back-office efficiency. When it comes to market conditions this year, more than 40% of our survey-takers expect modest easing across most lines of business, and a quarter expect more mixed conditions.

From the consumer perspective, we found that independent agents remain central to the consumer experience. Nearly 90% of policyholders want agent involvement when managing their policy, either exclusively or paired with digital tools. For MGAs, the “2026 MGA workforce and technology report” dives into operational trends and talent planning. As Emily McGinn, general manager of MGA and wholesale at Vertafore, notes: “The next chapter of MGA leadership is being written now. MGAs that invest in resilient teams, clean data foundations, and connected operations are better positioned to meet rising expectations and compete effectively in 2026 and beyond
