Samuel T. Bennett, CIC, CPRM, AFIS, TRIP, CRIS, CPIA
Sam is an active retail producer, presenter, agency owner and consultant. A resident of Batesville, AR, he began his insurance career in 1987 and has been an independent insurance agent from the beginning. He has worked with individuals, families, and small businesses his entire career. In this capacity, he has worked in the personal lines, commercial lines, agribusiness, and life and health marketplaces. As a result of working with many types of clients, insurers, and coverage needs, he has grown to understand and appreciate the important ways an insurance professional must work with markets and clients in today’s insurance world. As a consultant, he works with agents and agencies as they work to increase their insurance IQ and efficiency.
Sam obtained his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 1996. He has taught coursework for the Risk and Insurance Education Alliance in their Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) program since 2000, has presented in its CIC program since 2004, and in 2009 became a national faculty member of the Society of CIC. In 2021, he obtained his Certified Personal Risk Manager (CPRM) designation from the Risk and Insurance Education Alliance and is a presenter and Education Consultant in that program. Sam also currently serves as Education Consultant for the states of Arkansas and Missouri for CIC and James K. Ruble programs.
Sam is also a speaker in IRMI’s Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist (AFIS), Transportation Risk and Insurance Professional (TRIP), and Construction Risk Insurance Specialist (CRIS) certification programs. He also presents coursework in the American Insurance Marketing and Sales Society’s Certified Professional Insurance Agent (CPIA) program. Over the years, Mr. Bennett has been retained by several law firms to offer expert review of cases involving agent standard of care and coverage questions. He has been called on to offer insurance education in conferences and symposiums across the country over the past 30-plus years.
