Daniel G. Fink, CIC, CRM, CPCU, AAI Daniel Fink is an active producer/agent, teaches many insurance education classes, and works as an insurance expert witness in state and federal courts. He has 40 years of experience as an Independent Insurance Agent and is currently with Gallagher Insurance. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (cum laude) in Journalism and English from Oakland University, Rochester, Michigan, Daniel worked as a freelance newspaper reporter. But then he married into an insurance family in 1982. And most of his creative writing turned into the writing of insurance coverages. He learned insurance from the ground up and helped grow the family agency, eventually managing the commercial lines department and starting a hospitality insurance division specializing in hotels and restaurants. Throughout his career-long insurance studies, He has earned the designations of CIC, CRM, CPCU, CRIS, and AAI. While most of Daniel’s career has been on the agency side, for six years, Daniel worked on the company side, helping a small carrier grow in the Southwest. Since 2004, Daniel has taught classes for the Risk & Insurance Education Alliance and state associations, including the CIC and Ruble programs. He has also been a speaker at conventions and trade associations on insurance topics and risk management. In 2011, Daniel served as President of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of Arizona. Before that, he served on its board of directors and as chairman of its education committee. Daniel also serves as an insurance expert witness on insurance litigation, including standard of care and bad faith lawsuits. Last updated: April 2026 |
