A number of states have enacted laws, regulations, or regulatory directives governing certificates of insurance and similar forms. On this page, we provide a state by state listing of the laws, regulations, and directives that we’re aware of. As they change and new states come on board, we’ll be updating this page.

To address some of the problems outlined in our white paper, a number of states have taken legislative or regulatory action. Below is a summary listing of statutes, regulations, or other measures in states that we are aware of at this time. This is not an exhaustive list of all potentially relevant laws and regulations in the states named, nor should the fact that some states are not named result in a conclusion that they have no potentially relevant laws or regulations. For example, the following is an excerpt from the NAIC model fraud law now in effect in many states:
