EVENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Acknowledgment of Health & Safety Measures

IIABA takes the health and safety of our attendees, members, guests and staff seriously. IIABA values holding in-person events, while recognizing that attendance is a personal and business decision. IIABA reserves the right to cancel and/or reschedule any in-person event or convert it into a virtual format when necessary. As may be appropriate, IIABA will endeavor to take reasonable health and safety precautions and adhere to any state, local and venue requirements.

By registering for, or attending or participating in, an IIABA in-person event, each attendee agrees to follow and abide by applicable requirements, rules, and health and safety instructions and guidelines set forth by the government, health authority, venue and/or sponsor for the event.

Guidelines and Precautions

• If desired, attendees should bring their own health and safety supplies (e.g., masks and hand sanitizer) for personal use.
• Attendees must acknowledge these measures and accept the Event Waiver & Release below before attending or participating in an event.
• Anyone who begins to feel ill should seek appropriate medical advice and avoid attending further event activities until it is safe to do so.
• Anyone who experiences an emergency situation should contact emergency services, including calling 911 if necessary. Venue staff may be able to assist in locating local, non-emergency medical services if needed.

Event Waiver & Release

By registering for, or attending or participating in, this Event, I agree to allow the information that I have provided in connection with my registration (excluding financial and disability information) as well as my image or likeness, including any photos and recordings that may be taken at the Event, to be reproduced and shared by IIABA, any sponsoring state association, and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, partners, vendors, agents, volunteers, successors and assigns (collectively “Sponsor”) in any media, including, for example, electronic or print form, for use on websites, or in any other publications, promotions, or presentations created by Sponsor.

I further acknowledge that attending and participating in this Event may involve risks, and I agree that I assume all risks of participating in and attending this Event, including but not limited to, any risks that may arise from the acts or omissions of Sponsor. To the fullest extent permitted by law, except to the extent of any intentional misconduct by Sponsor, on behalf of myself and any of my guests, heirs and beneficiaries, I hereby waive, release and discharge Sponsor from any and all liability for any damage, loss, or injury of any kind (including, without limitation, damage, loss, or injury related to illness), personal injury, or property damage or theft, that may affect or impact me in any way arising from my participation and attendance at this Event. I further agree to comply with all health and safety precautions adopted by government agencies or health authorities, venues and/or Sponsor, as a condition of my registration, attendance and participation in the Event.
