The Council is composed of four Work Groups: Agent Education, Communications, Diversity Best Practices, and Talent Pipeline. Each Work Group is led by a Chair who handles the scheduling of meetings and implementation of projects. Additional details about the Work Groups are listed below

It Takes Commitment.
All Work Group meetings are conducted virtually. Pre-meeting materials and follow-up items will all be shared via email. It is the responsibility of the Work Group member to ensure they are reviewing content between all calls. Calls occur every 4-6 weeks, but varies based on Work Group.
Work Group Focus
Develops resources that champion diversity and inclusion practices to drive agency growth and long-term success.
Current Projects: Inclusive Leadership Training
Time Commitment: The Agent Relations Sub-Committee typically meets for 45-60 minutes every 4-6 weeks throughout the year—additional calls scheduled as needed.
Type of Applicant: Best suited for individuals who enjoy relationship-building and partnership development. Ideal for those with fundraising and creative marketing experience, especially broker or carrier representatives.
Produces content to educate agents on diversity, equity, and inclusion, spotlighting key initiatives and resources accessible to underrepresented groups within the IA channel.

Type of Participant: Best suited for individuals are passionate about storytelling and crafting inclusive messaging to elevate the visibility of our initiatives across diverse audiences.
Advances inclusion across the insurance industry by leading a mentorship, updating training resources, and identifying partnerships with other industry associations to expand reach and impact.

Time Commitment: The Diversity Best Practices Work Group typically meets for 45-60 minutes every 4-8 weeks throughout the year. Additional meetings scheduled as needed.
Type of Participant: Best suited for individuals who values mentorship and is motivated to help build relationships that drive measurable impact.
Develops plug-and-play recruitment resources for agents, state associations and carriers that can be used at school visits, career fairs, and more. They are building a state-by-state database of school and military career fairs to streamline outreach and strengthen the industry’s future workforce.
Current Projects: Recruitment resources and handouts; Career Fair database
Time Commitment: The Talent Pipeline Work Group meets on the first Monday of every month for 45 minutes. Calls may be pushed a week depending on availability. Additional meetings scheduled as needed.
Type of Participant: Best suited for individuals who value talent development, enjoy engaging with schools and community partners, and are motivated to strengthen the future insurance work force.
