CISR & CISR Elite
Certified Insurance Service Representative

The Certified Insurance Services Representative (CISR) program is designed for all insurance professionals to increase your knowledge of coverages, risks and exposures. Earn the CISR designation by attending five courses and passing an exam after each one. Participants can focus on a specific area, match their interests or simply diversify their learning.
View Upcoming Courses
CISR: Each course is one day of instruction. The successful completion of five of the nine courses and examinations earns the CISR designation. You have three years from the end of the year you pass your first exam to complete your CISR designation.
CISR ELITE: To earn CISR Elite status, you must attend and pass exams on the remaining four CISR courses within three years of earning your CISR designation.
Download CISR information sheet for course list & descriptions.
Maintenance: To maintain the designation, participants must annually attend at least one program sanctioned by the Risk & Insurance Education Alliance. No exam required for designation maintenance. William T Hold seminars, Dynamics of Service and CIC Institutes all qualify. CIC Institutes update your designation for two year. Consult your PROfile for your update deadline.
We do not currently offer any in person classroom CISR seminars. Our CISR offerings are all LIVE VIRTUAL.
Our live virtual webinars function just like a virtual classroom. They are NOT the same as the self-paced online CISR courses offered by the National Alliance. Be sure to register through the IIABSC Education Calendar to assure seminar is approved for CE and in your time zone.
With our LIVE VIRTUAL courses, you will:
- See the instructor in real time
- View speaker presentations
- Participate in Q&A sessions
- Be in class all day with regular breaks and an hour for lunch
- Participate from the comfort and convenience of your home or office
Online exam for designation credit from home/office the following week. See below for details.
Pre-registration is required. We will send you a confirmation email that includes course materials and a link to view webinar with technical specs and support line. You can print the course materials or view them on your computer, laptop, or tablet.
All CISR exams will be administered online after the conclusion of the seminar during an “exam window” that starts at 4:15 pm on the day or your class and remains open until 11:59 CST on Thursday the following week. Exams must be proctored by a “disinterested third party.”
Exam is not required for CE credit, only for those obtaining the CISR or CISR Elite designation.
No refund for cancellations within 10 business days of a class. Changes made within 10 business days of the class will incur a $35 processing fee. Substitutions are permitted with prior written notification. If you do not attend, and do not notify IIABSC 24 hours prior to the seminar, you will not be allowed to transfer your registration fee and will not receive a refund. All cancellations and transfers must be submitted in writing.
IIABSC gladly complies with Title III of ADA.
