The Big “I" Agents Council for Technology (ACT) held its first ever in-person work group launch last week in Austin, Texas, at Accelerate, powered by NetVU. The launch had a great turnout, with many discussions during the open mic-style meeting on what this Emerging Technology Trends Work Group should consider as topics.

“We are so humbled as to how many amazing people took time from a full agenda at NetVU Accelerate to actively participate in our Emerging Technology Trends Work Group kick off meeting," says Chris Cline, ACT's executive director. “Individuals nearly filled the room and grabbed the mic to share thoughtful ideas about the future and how we can focus this new effort. One thing that hit me during this and many conversations over the course of our time at Accelerate is the strong emphasis on people. At one of our industry's larger tech conferences, nearly every session I participated in or attended had an emphasis on how critical it is to focus on employee and customer experience as we bring even more digital solutions to the market."

ACT is grateful to NetVU and Vertafore for their hospitality and the opportunity to connect with incredible people in our industry.

Stay tuned for ACT's announcement of the first virtual meeting for the group, which is coming soon. ACT work groups are a place where stakeholders, including ACT members—keep in mind that all Big “I" member agencies are already members of ACT—carrier partners, and technology provider partners, come together in a non-competitive setting to develop tools and resources to help agencies leverage technology to enable their unique business strategies.
