Spencer Awards $10,000 Grant to Invest

The Spencer Educational Foundation has awarded a $10,000 grant to InvestSM, the insurance industry's premier classroom-to-career education program administered by the Big “I," to support its work to introduce high school students to insurance education and careers. The grant from Spencer will help Invest expand its engagement with students, particularly through its partnership with DECA, a nationwide career-readiness organization with more than 250,000 high school student members.

“Spencer has long been a champion of fostering the next generation of insurance professionals and we are grateful for its generous support," said Whitnee Dillard, executive director of Invest. “This grant allows us to deepen our impact, equipping more students with the knowledge and skills they need to explore rewarding careers in our beloved industry."

In 2025, Invest aims to engage 40 new schools and introduce 1,000 additional high school students to insurance education. The funding from Spencer will directly support Invest's ongoing engagement with students through its learning management system, insurance competitions and classroom connection activities.

“The Spencer Educational Foundation is proud to support Invest's efforts in making insurance education accessible and exciting for students," said Megan Miller, executive director of Spencer. “By investing in programs like Invest, we are helping to cultivate a strong pipeline of future professionals who will shape the insurance industry for years to come."

Invest looks forward to continuing a strong partnership with Spencer and promoting the phenomenal work the foundation is doing across the industry.
