The Big “I" Diversity Council is pushing forward in its newly launched workgroups. This August, the Agent Education workgroup will be launching a diversity foundations training series comprised of four 30-minute virtual modules for agencies.
The Talent Pipeline workgroup recently launched a Hall of Fame page highlighting the 43 students across eight universities that participated in the most recent Big “I" PriSim Agency Management Challenge with the goal of continuing to engage these and future rising all-stars.
The Diversity Best Practices workgroup—a giveback to our diversity company partners—hosted Navigating the World as It Is vs. the World as It Could Be. This session, led by Dr. Isaiah Pickens, clinical psychologist, focused on how to better work with staff and clients with opposing viewpoints in a politically heightened climate. Last month, the workgroup also hosted a three-panel carrier workshop, Leveraging Diversity and Inclusion in a Virtual Environment, with an emphasis on fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion, returning to the office and the talent pipeline.
And the Communications workgroup will be launching our first diversity newsletter soon. Email our staff if you wish to be added to the distribution list. Please contact Whitnee Dillard to learn more about the Big “I" Diversity Council.
