| The Big “I" is the hosting member of this year's ACORD Connect, an annual conference presented by ACORD. For more than fifty years, ACORD has supplied insurance stakeholders with data standards, digital tools, and other resources to help enable fast, accurate data exchange across the global industry, engaging more than 36,000 participating organizations over 100 countries. As a longstanding ACORD member, the Big “I" works closely with ACORD to enhance efficiencies for agents, carriers, and others.
ACORD Connect provides valuable training on ACORD Standards and Architecture, professional development opportunities, and insights on current and future industry trends and issues. The event also celebrates the ACORD member community and recognizes their achievements on behalf of the industry. ACORD Connect will be held on Thursday, October 27 in a virtual format, with an assortment of sessions for industry professionals across specialties and lines of business. ACORD recently released the program for the event, highlighting the different areas attendees can expect speakers to cover. Notable topics include: - People, Process, and Technology: Hosted by ACT's Chris Cline, “People, Process, Technology" session panelists will discuss how agents and carriers can work together to drive successful and meaningful change in the industry. They will highlight the importance of implementing new technologies while also prioritizing the people and processes in your organization.
- ACORD Standards implementation and usage: In a series of sessions, ACORD leadership and industry experts across lines of business will discuss the latest updates to ACORD Standards, from P&C, L&A, and GRLC Standards to the new Next-Generation Digital Standards. They will also share about upcoming enhancements, as well as address different use cases of these Standards.
- Insurer Digital Maturity: State of the Industry 2022: In this encore presentation from the ACORD Industry First series, ACORD CEO Bill Pieroni will evaluate the findings of ACORD's 2022 flagship research study, ACORD Insurer Digital Maturity 2022, and offer imperatives for successfully executing digital strategic options.
