ALEXANDRIA, VA, December 1, 2022—The Big “I” is proud to announce it will hold its inaugural Big “I” InsurTech Summit on Jan. 20, 2023, in Savannah, Georgia, as part of the Big “I” Winter Meeting which runs Jan. 18-21.
ALEXANDRIA, VA, October 13, 2022— The number of independent insurance agencies has increased and business conditions for agencies remain favorable, according to the 2022 Agency Universe Study. While the majority of agencies experienced increased revenue, that percentage was lower than in the previous study in 2020.
ALEXANDRIA, VA, September 19, 2022—The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (the Big “I”) announced today that Bob Rusbuldt, Big “I” president & CEO, will retire next year. Rusbuldt informed the association’s national Board of Directors of his decision at a meeting in Niagara Falls, NY over the weekend. The longest tenured Big “I” top executive will remain in his current position until August 31, 2023.
The independent agency channel places 62% of all property-casualty insurance written in the U.S., according to the Big “I” 2022 Market Share Report.
