Dave Kaufman joined The Motorists Insurance Group in 1986 as an actuarial services manager. Now president & CEO, he rose through the ranks serving as senior vice president and CIO, executive vice president and president and COO. Kaufman has transformed the company’s culture and processes to best serve its more than 14,000 independent insurance agents and producers in 24 states.
After serving as executive vice president and CFO, Christopher Swift was named chairman and CEO of The Hartford in June 2014 following a series of capital management actions to transform the company’s finances and strategy. Swift previously served in senior leadership and finance roles at American International Group and Global Insurance Industry Practice.
Tom Motamed leads CNA Financial as its chairman and CEO. His 31-year career in the industry began in 1977 when he joined The Chubb Corporation as a claims trainee and held various position including managing attorney in-house counsel, litigation manager and national claim audit manager. After retiring from Chubb in 2008, Motamed joined CNA, where he now chairs an executive committee responsible for strategy, results and oversight of all business units.
David Long has served as chairman and CEO of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group since 2013—after a 30-year career with the company during which he held positions in international operations, commercial markets, underwriting and financial and mergers and acquisitions departments. Long has served as a member of the Board of Directors since 2010.
