IIABA to Host Dr. Paul Viollis Keynote Address and Discussion on Cybercrime

Top cyber security expert to address Big “I” joint event in New Orleans.

PV Bio Pic High Res.jpgALEXANDRIA, Virginia, Sept. 29, 2015 — The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA or the Big “I”) will host a keynote address by cybersecurity expert Dr. Paul Viollis on Friday, Oct. 2, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. CDT in New Orleans, as part of the association’s annual Leadership Conference. 
 
“With security and cyber issues emerging and escalating so rapidly, we are excited to hear from top expert Dr. Paul Viollis,” says Madelyn Flannagan, Big “I” vice president of agent development, research and education. “This session–hosted by the Agents Council for Technology (ACT), Young Agents and Education Convocation –is designed to provide insight on cybercrime issues and detailing a ‘cyber-health’ approach that independent insurance agents can and should take to protect their agencies and clients.”

Paul Viollis is CEO of Viollis Group International. Over a long and distinguished career in both law enforcement and security, Viollis developed a diverse base of skills in various areas of the criminal justice system, ranging from his position as supervisor for the New York County's District Attorney's Office's Criminal Court Unit, Security Specialist/Supervisor under the United States Space Command, and CO of a Florida State Police Academy. He is a renowned public speaker and has served as a subject matter expert in private client security, workplace violence, behavioral analysis, workplace security and counter terrorism threat assessment. Viollis’s professional affiliations include the Florida Police Chiefs Association, lnfraGard, Business Executives for National Security. He holds the distinction of Honorary Assistant Attorney General for the State of Louisiana.
