The Big “I” national Young Agents Committee presented the inaugural Outstanding Young Agent of the Year award at the recent Big “I” Young Agents Leadership Institute to Kelli Dean, Physicians Insurance Services, Athens Ga. She served as 2013-14 chair of the young agents committee of the Independent Insurance Agents of Georgia and is currently serving as a director-at-large on the state board.

The new award recognizes an outstanding young agent who goes above and beyond to provide exemplary service to their association, community and the industry. Dean is well-respected by her peers, her state and her committee colleagues. Nominations poured in for her applauding her for her leadership, passion, honor and commitment. Under her helm, the committee encouraged monthly reoccurring InsurPac contributions from the young agents and championed InVEST. The annual charity golf tournament raised $30,250 for Kids Chance, a charity for children that provides education scholarships to the children of Georgia workers who have been injured in work-related accidents. Additionally, the Georgia Young Agents Committee took away the highest committee honor, the Outstanding Young Agents Committee of the Year Award.
